Learn from a Working Pro

I've been playing professionally for 13 years—over 1000 gigs across Scotland, the UK, and internationally. I've performed for royalty, been reviewed by Kenny G, and played everything from intimate jazz clubs to cruise ships.

That real-world experience shapes how I teach. You'll learn not just technique, but how to actually use it—whether that's at your first open mic or your hundredth wedding.

Lessons are relaxed, practical, and focused on what you want to achieve. No stuffy classical-only approach—I teach the music you want to play.

Common Questions

How much do lessons cost?

Lesson rates depend on duration and frequency. Get in touch and I'll send you my current rates and availability.

Where are lessons held?

Lessons are held in Edinburgh. I can also offer online lessons via video call if that suits better.

Do I need my own saxophone?

Yes, you'll need your own instrument to practise between lessons. I can advise on buying or renting if you're just starting out.

What ages do you teach?

I teach adults and older teenagers (14+). For younger children, I'd recommend a specialist music school.
